The prestigious all blacks award BET will not be waylaid anywhere near East Africa in 2019 as they have been locked out this year.
East Africa has been sidelined again in this year’s Black Entertainment Television (BET) nominations.

The America based company aims at celebrating talented black Americans and other minority groups in the US and has from time to time recognized African acts.
Nigerian superstar, Davido, boasts as the only African to have won the award two times.
He won in 2014 and 2018 as the Best international artist, Africa, beating Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania, Mafikizolo from South Africa, Sarkodie from Ghana, Tiwa Savage from Nigeria, and Toofan from Togo.
In East Africa, Wasafi artist, Rayvanny boasts as the first East African to win the prestigious award in 2017.
Well, in 2019, there is no artist from East Africa who has been nominated. Burnaboy, Mr. Eazi, and AKA are the only nominees in Africa in the best international act category.
Other Africans nominated are Sho Madjozi from South Africa and Teni from Nigeria.
