Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua has rubbished the plans of reverting the Health care back to the National Government.
Governor Mutua has termed the ongoing games meant to galvanize a push for healthcare to revert back to the National Government has nothing to with provision of health services to poor Kenyans but a clamor for money.
Dr Alfred Mutua has stated that the funds needed to run the UHC in every county is about 55 billion shillings which according to him is less than what the government is losing through corruption.
The monies we need to run UHC in every county is about 55 billion shillings which is little compared to the funds being stolen, lost through fraud, inefficiencies & misplaced priorities. Health Care is a right and no person should choose between going to hospital or buying food. pic.twitter.com/bnDLz4wpxK

Governor Mutua has stated that Kenya can afford for each child, mother, father and youth to receive free treatment in every corner of this country.
There is no way we can revert to the old system. Kenyans will not agree.
I wish to repeat for those who are still stuck in the past:If you try to mess with devolution, there will be a difficult revolution in this country. pic.twitter.com/tdoLErOj1v

Dr Mutua has termed the move to revert Health Care to the National Government as bad politics.
Healthcare is big business and Mafia House, pardon me, Afya house’s operatives cannot wait to get back to eating they way they used to. Since advent of devolution, healthcare provision has improved tremendously. Issues are dealt with at source & health workers supervised locally. pic.twitter.com/yAh8GUzjtm

We are not poor in Kenya because of lack of resources but because the choices of leaders we make expose us to graft, lethargy and hence more poverty.
I congratulate President Uhuru Kenyatta for your quest for the provision of universal health care in Kenya. pic.twitter.com/907Vh4AAfV

As a country, we have to put aside greed and care for the plight of the many and not just a few. We cannot continue to be a county that pays heed to a handful
of billionaires while ignoring the millions of our poor and struggling citizens. Kenya is for us all. pic.twitter.com/Og7CBojFih— Dr. Alfred Mutua (@DrAlfredMutua) May 16, 2019
