The Brazilian joined the Reds from Roma in a £65 million last summer, and was hailed as the world-class solution to the club’s long-standing problems between the sticks.
Not since Reina’s peak had Liverpool been able to call upon a top-class stopper, but Alisson settled immediately and has more than vindicated a then-world record outlay.
A clean sheet in Sunday’s 2-0 victory over Wolves—a result which was not enough to clinch the title as Man City won 4-1 at Brighton—was the 26-year-old’s 21st in the league.

And with Ederson conceding at the Amex, Alisson is clear winner of the Golden Glove—an award last won by a Liverpool ‘keeper when Reina did so in 2007/08.
That was Reina’s third consecutive Golden Glove, but his first remained the most impressive as he kept 20 clean sheets for the Reds in his own debut season in 2005/06.
Alisson is the first goalkeeper to record over 20 shutouts since Man United‘s Edwin van der Sar in 2008/09, while only one, Petr Cech in 2004/05 (24), has kept more clean sheets since the award was founded.

Liverpool’s current No. 13, who will inherit the No. 1 shirt from Loris Karius this summer, was presented with the prize on the Anfield pitch at full-time.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were left to share the Golden Boot along with Arsenal‘s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, as all three netted 22 times.
Mane scored twice against Wolves on Sunday, both from Trent Alexander-Arnold crosses, with the right-back breaking the record for assists from a defender in a single Premier League campaign (12).
