Celebrated Gospel Musicians Bahati and Willy Paul are nowhere to appear in this years Groove Awards nominations.
The groove nomination event which saw the unveiling of the 2019 nominees went down last night at the Kenya National Theatre.
Under the theme, “Better Together” the nominees were unveiled at an exclusive red carpet event held at the Kenyan National Theatre on Wednesday.
The two haven’t been really on the same page with the award since it banned them a few years ago then waived off their ban later on.
Last year Bahati rejected his award saying he didn’t want to be part of the event. Willy Paul appreciated for the nomination then but also wasn’t concerned so much about it.
Also the new groove awards might not slashed them out. The Award recently sought to lock out a number of musicians through their General Ground Rules for all categories which stipulate that the music must be positive gospel music .In addition, for one to be nominated, the artist must live a Christian lifestyle.
