The prolonged drought witnessed in Kenya have caused severe shortage of water in various parts of the country.
Conflict has also been reported in areas where residents scramble to survive on the few available water.
Irate residents at Sirikwa trading centre in Kuresoi North Sub-county were reduced to wailing on the streets while protesting the closure of community water by an organization known as A.D.C farm in the area.
The farming NGO is accused of blocking the community from using its water after its wells ran dry due to the prolonged drought.
However, the agitated residents claimed that life should be given priority instead of denying children drinking water and sprinkling it on the farms.
Action is yet to be taken as local authority is keenly following the incident.
