It has long been known that street war tools like demonstrations is the best way to get government attention on deteriorating situations seriously affecting citizens that fall on unconcerned leaders ears.
As the fate of many activists would have it,Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru has been arrested on Friday evening at a Nanyuki hotel shortly after attending a press conference addressed by Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.
This was after she allegedly incited operators of the banned Probox and Sienta vehicles to demonstrate over police harassment.
The MP was arrested by two policewomen in the company of other police officers including Laikipia East DCIO Jacob Murithi who whisked her into a police vehicle and took her to Nanyuki police station.
The officers had positioned themselves outside the hotel and shortly after Matiangi addressed journalists on the issues they agreed on with local leaders, the woman representative was arrested.
