Tottenham fans felt breathed a sigh of relief as news coming in states Kane is eligible to start on Derby day.
The Football Association will take no further action against Harry Kane following the
Kane appeared to headbutt Cesar Azpilicueta during the first half of a typically fraught London derby but referee Andre Marriner took no action at the time.
The match official, however, made reference to the incident in his post-match report, submitted to the FA, rendering the governing body powerless to intervene and hand Kane a potential ban for violent conduct.
Kane’s escape means he will be free to participate in Saturday’s pivotal match against Arsenal as Spurs look to avoid a third successive league defeat which would throw the race for Champions League qualification wide open.
