Mbogo faulted Mombasa county for underperformance since the county is capable of providing free medical cover to the entire county residents.
“Many residents are unable to pay the initial Ksh. 1500 NHIF registration fee but are able to pay the Ksh. 500 monthly membership contributions.” said Mbogo.
Kisauni Constituency under the leadership of M.P Ali Mbogo becomes the first Constituency in Kenya to issue medical Cover to its Residents. More than 1500 Person will benefit in phase 1 of this program and a target of 10,000 person to year 2022.

The programme beneficiaries fom Kisauni now joins Kisumu, Isiolo, Nyeri and Machakos residents that enjoys free medical services from counties in the pilot Universal Healthcare programme launched in December 208.
