Kenyan gospel musicians have been on people’s mouths for so many instances under negative perceptions. This is because their actions do not convince the public that they are truly saved. For instance Willy Paul is one of the most controversial gospel artists for numerous hits that are considered romantic thus secular yet he insists they are gospel songs.
In latest Kenyan gospel controversies, DK Kwenye beat and singer Hope Kid have shocked the nation with a sexual assault scandal that involves infecting a young aspiring female gospel musician with sexually transmitted disease.
As per yesterday the fellows had denied allegations of having had group sex with the lady who inturn has suffered trauma and depression after the incident. However they have recently admitted to the sin and apologised for the act.
Many perturbed citizens still don’t wish to forgive them and have expressed anguish in gospel influencers DJ Mo and Size 8 who have defended the fellows in the name of repentance.
The sanitization move by the two gospel celebrity couple has received a hevy online backlash.
Hope Kid and DK Kwenye Beat need to be held accountable. They raped that girl. It’s disgusting that they haven’t acknowledged what they did. And DJ Mo and Size 8 jumping in to sanitize them is sickening.
Quoting Bible verses isn’t accountability nor is it absolution.— Mwende Ngao ?? (@mwendesusu) February 1, 2019
