Veteran female boxer Conjestina Achieng is responding well to treatment and has hinted on her wish to get back to her boxing career.
Conjestina says that even though her arm might still have an injury, she would not mind being a trainer.
Conjestina’s family today paid her a visit at the rehabilitation center together with the Nairobi City County Sports Board and WBC Super Bantamweight Champion Fatuma Zarika.
The Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko said that Achieng and Suleiman Bilali are responding well to treatment since their admission at Aden Rehabilitation Center.
He also assured that he will continue to support her until she fully recovers from her ailment even as his administration puts in place plans to support local athletes to prosper in their areas of sports.
Conjestina was rescued by Mike Sonko’s team after her video went viral later last year.
It has been months about one and a half month and her improvement has really impressed Kenyans.
