Uganda’s firebrand politician Bobi Wine has had a rough 2018. In August this year, he was arrested and charged with treason. He was beaten and had his manhood manhandled by brutal Ugandan police forces who were acting under the command of President Yoweri Museveni.
Bobi Wine had to seek medical attention abroad. But he had cemented his place in Museveni’s black book and his enemy number one. It was only a matter of time before the dictator president, who has been accused of being drank with power, would strike again.
But no one expected the President to strike so soon. This time it happened in Jinja town, Uganda’s third largest urban area after Kampala and Entebbe. Bobi Wine had organised a music concert on Saturday night. The event, however did not happen as the police descended on Bobi Wine and his crew like possessed pirates.
So police has raided city hotel where we were resting ahead of the show tonight, arrested many of our team members. As we speak, the police is surrounding the entire neighborhood looking for me! We shall overcome!

Through Social Media, Bobi Wine lamented about how police were looking for him everywhere in Jinja on Saturday night. The Kyadondo East MP, had to go into hiding, fearing that the worst could happen to him especially after being tortured in Arua.
Fortunately for him, Wananchi, who have grown tired of Museveni’s dictatorship came to his rescue and ensured the police could not find him. On Sunday, Wine returned to Kampala undetected after spending the night in hiding.
After @UgandaPoliceFC raided, wanainchi in Jinja helped us escape them and their evil plans. The roadblocks they put on the way to sabotage my travel back were a shameful move.I travelled back to Kampala today morning. #Fredom_in_sight #FreeOurMusicShows#Tuliyambala_Engule pic.twitter.com/ANnGiJKn93

We hope that Museveni will not come for his neck again. Ugandans should say enough is enough!
