The Ugandan President has never got this funny. Apart from using dictator means to rule Uganda Museveni has also been known to employ jungle means to pass and execute certain government plans.
Museveni employs any tactic possible to ensure political rival or anything that is meant to negatively paint his image fade away.
Bobi Wine can atest on Museveni’s attack and wrangle tactic to calm down his opposition. Bobi wine experienced persecution under Museveni’s rule until the international body tried to intervene. This series of political persecutions started with the former Presidential Candidate Kiza Besigye who suffered terribly under the rule of Museveni.
President Museveni had earlier advised that wetland encroachers to leave the wetlands on their own or face forceful evictions since they are destroying water sources leading to long dry spells and loss of water for production.
“Those invading wetlands need to move by themselves slowly without being pulled, without force. If we destroy the wetlands, where will we get water for irrigation?” President Museveni asked.
He had earlier on called for improved farming methods backed by irrigation to counter increasing change in environment.
The President said small holder farmers can only convert into successful commercial farmers if they embrace small scale irrigation to sustain crops all year.
But Museveni has taken back his words. Museveni speaking during the current Blue Economy that is being held in KICC in Nairobi has asked his government to bribe the invaders so that they can leave the wetlands.
President Yoweri Museveni says his government is trying to bribe invaders of wetlands to leave peacefully because he may also lose votes if they are violently evicted. 😂😂😂😂@ItsJnShine #BlueEconomyKE pic.twitter.com/NDJC9VQ44D

Museveni has said that bribing them will help him still have their votes other than forceful eviction which will create enmity.
He even reiterated this statement urging his top officials to bribe them so that they can be able to protect the water sources of Uganda.
Do you think Museveni has used the right tactic to remove the wetland invaders?
