Should Salah leave Liverpool if trophies don’t come

Mohamed Salah should leave Liverpool if the club’s wait for trophies does not end soon. Salah joined the Reds in summer 2017 and enjoyed by far the most productive season of his entire career, scoring 44 goals in 52 games.

But he could not fire Liverpool to silverware, as the Reds were beaten in the final of the Champions League and suffered early League and FA Cup exits.

Salah has only won one trophy throughout his entire career, claiming the Swiss Super League title with Basel in 2013.

But Egypt head coach Javier Aguirre believes the player would be best-served to leave Anfield if the club fail to win silverware in the next two seasons.

“It may be better for him to leave within a season or two if Liverpool doesn’t win any titles,” he told Egyptian TV.

Klopp is set to return to the Bundesliga early next year to take Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay to Anfield.

The German international has emerged as a leading target for Klopp who has been monitoring his progress for much of this season.

Kloop is known to be a man that say’s it as it is. After Liverpool’s win over Fulham today, it was widely expected that the manager would take all the credit for his team’s performance but he did not.

He instead gave credit to “luck” with the charismatic manager conceding that Liverpool got “a bit lucky” with a controversial offside call going their way prior to Mohamed Salah opening the scoring.

The Reds appeared to have fallen behind at Anfield when Aleksandar Mitrovic found the back of the net, but his effort was ruled out by match officials required to make tough calls in the heat of the moment.
