Monica Kimani’s murder case has resulted to a heated debate and questions as the narrative seems to take a different twist upon the details that are emerging following the investigations that are ongoing. The police had earlier revealed that investigations will be extended to South Sudan where Monica is said to have had a business.
Kenyans have reacted to recent statement by Maribe which seems to contradict her previous one. Her fiancee Joseph Irungu was arrested as the first suspect in the murder. Both Maribe and Irungu are in police custody pending the hearing of the case.
This incident has raised many questions among Kenyans as police continue with their efforts to unravel the mystery behind Monica’s murder. Initially, reports covered by media platforms stated that Irungu who is nursing a gunshot wound, claimed that he had been shot by gunmen. However, the police later on clarified that they suspected that Irungu shot himself in a suicide attempt.
Some Kenyans feel that the narratives and revelations which pop up on a daily basis has so many twist and turns that it is all getting so complicated and difficult to understand.

Some Kenyans wish that Maribe had told the truth from the very beginning which they feel would have saved her from the mystery she got caught up in.

Maribe should have told the truth from the beginning to avoid the torturous ordeal she has gone through https://t.co/7Xh3DBPujI

It is called emotional detachment (or lack thereof) and heat of the moment. It is not that straightforward

How far is that Maribe case?
— Msupa M (@Mollage_) October 3, 2018
When someone moves from being a suspect to prosecution witness, it means on her next appearance in court that person walks out free. I just wonder if Maribe’s initial false statements may put her into trouble though.
