Kenyans on Twitter have reacted to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s visit to New York on Friday shortly after signing the 2018 Finance.
President Uhuru Kenyatta quietly left the country for United States for the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 73) but his official communication channels remained silent about it.
Kenyans now claim that the president might have left in search for another loan following the rise of the country’s economy.
They claim the borrowing trend has greatly contributed to high taxes in the country following the introduction of the 8% VAT tax on petroleum products which came into effect after passing the 2018 finance bill which was signed into law on Friday.

Some now say that the trips the president has been making since he took the county’s leadership are expensive and have contributed to high economy.
They claim that President Mwai Kibaki’s reign had little state trips with developments and that life was cheap aas compared to this time.
Something not right about travels by @UKenyatta. He seems to be on stealth mode jetting in and out of the country. When on official mission out of the country, his office MUST communicate to Kenyans. @KanzeDena is out of place lately, hmm

We not only fear those trips over expenses but also what the outcome could cost us……he may strike very expensive deals out there and burden us even further
