Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo has become the latest legislator to oppose ODM’s decision to support President Uhuru’s proposed changes to the Finance Bill 2018.
The legislator has vowed to oppose the position of the party maintaining that he will vote against the imposition of 8% VAT on petroleum products.
“I will Vote Against imposition of 8% on Petroleum Products.” He said through his Twitter handle.
Good People, many have asked if my stand on VAT has changed, NO it hasn’t. I will Vote Against imposition of 8% on Petroleum Products. I believe that to be right, then we engage on what else needs to go, including CDF, CASs, NYS, Big 4 & Others.

Raila is reported to have muscled the opposition allied MPs to approve President Kenyatta’s memoranda, a position Otiende pledges to overlook.
He went on to state that he believes “to be right, then we engage on what else needs to go, including CDF, Cabinet Administrative Secretaries, the National Youth Service, the Big 4, and others.”
Raila’s son, Raila Odinga Junior and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino are some of the high profile people who have sidelined the opposition leader.
