Court to hear petition against Gachagua candidature today; Night Drama as Famous Politician’s Car is Burnt Hours After He Decamped and Supported Wavinya Ndeti & Uhuru says he’s sure of an Odinga win

Good morning

It’s now 3 days to the 2022 general elections and Kenyans are eagerly waiting to see who between the four presidential contestants will make their entry into the statehouse.

Far from the multiple opinion poll predictions, there is still a push and pull between the top two presidential aspirants Raila Odinga of Azimio and DP William Ruto of Kenya Kwanza as some of their allies have expressed concerns over the credibility of the results.

In a recent outburst, DP William Ruto raised fresh concerns claiming that the government has been plotting to ensure that he does not clinch the seat.

The UDA party leader alleged that some of the plans set to frustrate his bid include threatening chiefs and Cabinet secretaries and using them to mobilize people to vote in favor of his rivals as well as listing his stronghold regions among violence hotspots so as to intimidate voters.

In response to these allegations, PS Kibicho who had been named by Ruto among the leaders behind the night meetings plotting for his defeat rubbished the claims and further added that the state has nothing to gain from such an arrangement.

“The last time I set foot in Nakuru was 2 years ago. It is very shameful for a deputy president to even imagine that we were in Nakuru plotting anything” he stated

While addressing Mombasa residents during a rally, President Uhuru also fired back at Ruto over his endless lamentations and insults towards the government. The head of state further exuded confidence in his preferred candidate Raila Odinga saying that this is his turn to win as he advised him to wait for the next elections.
