Tough Times For Azimio Members Over New Political Law; Blow for Ruto as Kega Reveals Poll Results Run by NIS & Four Things Raila is Considering in Deciding His DP

Good morning,

Deputy President William Ruto is seemingly facing a daunting task to retain his fortunes in Western Kenya even with the support of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and FORD Kenya chief Moses Wetangula.

According to recent reports, there is disquiet among his allies in the vote-rich region and a looming mass defection as details emerged of a secret pact by Kenya Kwanza principals to give exclusive rights to Mudavadi and Wetangula to field candidates.

The political exodus was triggered last week after Sirisia MP John Walukhe, who has had close ties with DP Ruto over the years, ditched the UDA party for President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party.

Walukhe, together with his Kimilili counterpart Didmus Barasa, have been Ruto’s key point men in Bungoma.

Moreover, former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has decried zoning being deployed by the Kenya Kwanza coalition arguing that though they initially thought the alliance would add value, only the opposite seems to be happening.

Khalwale, who is vying for the Kakamega gubernatorial seat against ANC’s Cleophas Malala, has stated that the entry of more parties has resorted to causing chaos and shaking the alliance from within.

Do you think there will a mass exodus by the Western leaders from Ruto’s UDA camp?
