It has been seven days into the new month and the political temperature in the country is on the rise.
ODM leader Raila Odinga held a meeting in Kajiado that saw him acquire new members.
Reports indicated that over 50 people defected from Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA party to the ‘Chungwa’ one.
During the event, Raila was assured that the people of Kajiado would give him their votes come 2022.
A similar situation was witnessed a few months ago when Ruto also got new members from other political parties.
At that time, the DP was remarked to be making more progress than his closest rival.
The move by ODM comes just four days to the veteran politician’s scheduled December 10 event where Raila is set to make a huge announcement.
This brings up the big question, has the tide shifted in ODM’s favour?
