Resign or Shut up, Uhuru Dares Ruto as He Breaks Silence on Nullification of BBI Appeal & OKA Leaders Lay Down Conditions For a 2022 Coalition With Raila

Good morning,

The race to 2022 elections continues to get complicated as One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals met yesterday and issued two conditions to opposition leader Raila Odinga as a pre-requisite to entering a pre-election alliance with him.

The four principals led by Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Kanu chairman Gideon Moi and Ford-Kenya’s Moses Wetangula said they were ready to accommodate Raila in a pre-2022 alliance on condition that he joins as an “equal partner” and that he backs one of them in the next presidential election.

This comes as President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday took a swipe at his deputy William Ruto daring him to quit instead of attacking the government from within.

The president did not hide his displeasure with the criticism levelled against his administration. Uhuru said he was in no certain terms aware of why DP Ruto’s side has chosen the attacks.

He told journalists in Nairobi that he had no problem with Ruto building his political base but questioned the methods the UDA team has employed.

Going forward do you think the president will continue to attack his Deputy directly?

Meanwhile, here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:
