Ex-CJ Mutunga: Bribes Are Offered to Judges’ Wives and Associates; CJ Koome’s Hand in the Rejection of 6 Judges & Kenyan Man Confesses His Undying Love for Ngina Kenyatta

Good morning

Is President Kenyatta on a revenge mission against judges who declared BBI null and void?

Well, his recent move to appoint judges has sparked a huge debate online with some criticizing his decision to leave out 6 Judges despite having been nominated by the Judicial service commission earlier.

Out of the 41 Judges who had been nominated by the JSC over two years ago, President Kenyatta appointed 34 and among those who missed out on the appointment include Justices George Odunga and presiding Judge Joel Ngugi who were part of the team of judges that declared the Building Bridges Initiative unconstitutional.

A section of Kenyans who view Uhuru’s decision as punishment to those who stopped BBI reggae have expressed dissatisfaction with many calling upon Chief Justice Martha Koome to stand her ground and reject the swearing in of the 34.

Besides the tension that has arisen between the executive and judiciary, the ruling Jubilee party has a lot to worry about amid reports of an anticipated mass exodus.

Some of the political leaders like Meru Governor Kiraitu Murungi who have hinted at plans to exit accused the party of disloyalty & failing to involve some regions on a number of issues within the party.

In other news, Kenyans have been cautioned against paying for the COVID-19 vaccine after it emerged that some hospitals have been illegally issuing the jab.

This comes at a time when a number of Kenyans wait for the second dose with only 1202 having been vaccinated with the second dosage.
