Powerful Role DP Ruto Was Assigned While in Kisumu on Tuesday; Uhuru Hints at Backing Raila in 2022 & Detectives Find Breakthrough in Case of Murdered 8-Year-Old Girl

Good morning,

The enforcement of coronavirus containment measures in the country has brought a lot of distress among Kenyans.

For business people, profits have dwindled, for health workers, every day in good health is a miracle, for learners, they are still several terms behind, and the future still looks bleak.

This is especially as the government projects a fourth wave of infections in the next four weeks or so.

However, many people agree that the restriction of night club operations might not have been so bad.

Yes, owners are sadly making losses and employees have lost jobs, but still, the tranquility in the country at night is a breathe of fresh air.

Before the pandemic struck, it was pure chaos at night, with loud music from clubs located in residential areas, coupled with drunken shouts and screams from revellers trying to find their way home in pitch darkness.

While we do hope that things open up so that the economic suffering ends for those earning a living from this sector, we must enjoy every moment of blissful peace until then.

Here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:
