DCI Summons Citizen TV Journalists Over Guns Exposé; CSs Plot to Scrap IEBC Technology use in 2022 Poll & Tuju Reveals What is Protecting DP Ruto as He Undermines Uhuru

Good morning,

Kenyans have been facing endless problems of late, from heavy taxation, corrupt leadership, to police brutality while enforcing curfew rules.

As a solution, many agree that once a person gets a chance to go and live or work abroad in western countries, they should get on the next available flight and flee the country.

But as the saying goes, better the devil you know, than the angel you don’t.

While western nations, such as the US, may be alluring with their promise of the ‘American Dream’, sadly, it is becoming crystal clear that foreigners are not welcome there.

Donald Trump hid behind the limited-resources excuse while executing zero tolerance to immigration into the country, but we all know how racism looks like.

Police brutality towards Africans and Latinas has become the order of the day, and although justice is served for some killings, such as that of George Floyd, think of how many similar cases go unreported.

Those who opt to look for greener pastures in the Middle East may not have the problem of the police pulling guns on them, but the stories of physical torture, rape, and inhumane living conditions from there are spine chilling.

The bottom line is, East or West, home is literally and disappointingly, still the best.

Here are the stories making headlines on Opera News today:
