Raila Odinga’s quiet return to Kenya from Dubai

After days of speculations on his health status after undergoing minor surgery at a German Hospital based in the United Arabs Emirates, the ODM leader jetted back to the country on Sunday quietly without much hype that is common of him.

The ODM leader is currently at his Karen home where is still recuperating and also isolating himself in line with Covid-19 measures.

Raila is expected to receive the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report together with President Uhuru Kenyatta soon.

After being charged with murder on Monday, the Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji shockingly dropped murder charges against Lali Oman on Thursday, three days later.

It was a sigh of relief to Lali who has been in detention over the death of his late lover Tecra Muigai, who is the daughter to Keroche Breweries Chairman Joseph Karanja and CEO Tabitha Karanja.

Lali could not hide his joy and was pictured kneeling down in what appeared to be a show of disbelief that he had been served justice.

Internet Erupts After Two artisans get order to supply State with 500 hospital beds

When it appeared that President Uhuru Kenyata had made the greatest move yet in promoing the local talent after ordering 500 hospital beds from Mungai Gathogo and Mr Joseph Muhinja, Kenyans could not approve of it.

Internet was set on fire after Kenyans took to social media to protest the move accusing the President of being tribal for sidelining Mechack Otieno and Gordon Ogutu, welders who had developed a similar bed.

Kenyans questioned why the President could not sub-divide the order between the two groups yet they had equally made a significant milestone in the Jua Kali Industry.

With a single bed going for Kshs65,000, the Kiambu-based innovators are poised to take home a whopping Kshs32, 500,000.

Waiguru summoned by EACC over tenders

It is a double blow to  Governor Waiguru who is embroiled in a protracted political battle with MCAs after it emerged that anti-graft detectives have trained the spotlight on her administration.

Waiguru was summoned for grilling by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission over suspected tender irregularities in her county.

Sharp Increase Covid-19 numbers

You still stand a high chance of succumbing to Covid-19 even after getting admission to an intensive care unit, data from the Health Ministry shows.

The figures show that 78 of the 225 coronavirus patients who had been admitted to ICU died.

The ministry expressed fears that if the numbers of those requiring ICU care shoot up, hospitals will run out of space.
