Magoha Extends Schools’ Closure as Kenya Records 12 More Cases

Education CS George Magoha announced an extension of schools’ closure by one more month.

This takes the new date of students going back to their schools to June 4 from May 4 when they were set to open due to the ongoing fight against COVID-19′.

Magoha also stated that each and every candidate will do their exams after they have been given enough time to cover their syllabus before they finally sit for their national examinations.

During the press conference, Health CAS Rashid Aman announced 12 more positive cases for the Covid-19 bringing the total number to 355.

Of the 12, eight are from Nairobi and the rest from Nairobi. All are Kenyans with three having a history of travel to Somalia.

Aman also announced that eight more patients had recovered bringing the number to 106 Covid-19 recoveries.
