Anxiety Ahead of Uhuru’s Address, How Ruto is Plotting to Sink Jubilee Party & Uhuru Directs His Guns at Nairobi’s Land Grabbers

Ramadan Mubarak,

The holiest month in the Muslim calendar is here with us. It is that time of the year when our brothers fast during daylight hours and congregate for prayers and sharing meals in the evening.

Unfortunately, Muslims around the world will observe this year’s Ramadan under lockdown and tight restrictions due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, just like their Christian brethren celebrated Easter.

The Kenya government declined to extend the curfew hours from 7 PM to 10 PM to allow Muslims to break the fast together. Health CS Mutahi Kagwe cited an incident in Eastleigh where a Muslim cleric succumbed to COVID-19. The cleric had allegedly defied government directives and visited several homes to preach.

We urge the Muslim community to dedicate a few hours every day to pray for this country. The Bible says that God will listen to his children if they call him by his name, I am sure there is a version of this statement in the Quran.

We are facing so many tragedies concurrently. First, it was the desert locusts which led to the firing of Mwangi Kiunjuri. COVID-19 has paralysed the country and recently, at least 17 people have lost their lives to flash floods.

Here are the stories making headlines:
