Matteo Guendouzi Calls For More Caution In This Troubling Times

Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi  has called for more stoppage period in football activities as the world tries to deal with the Corona pandemic.

The football season in Europe has been suspended until at-least the 30th of April at the earliest but the French midfielder insists nothing should happen before everyone is assured of their safety.

“For me, what I think is most important is to not start things up again, no games, no training, until this epidemic stops. What’s most important is everybody’s health, and not just in the football world, but in the medical world and the world in general. That’s really what’s most important.

“I’m in favor of nothing starting up again until this virus is taken off this world,”He said.

Guendouzi has not enjoyed the best of seasons in the current campaign which is his second for the Gunners. He initially played under Unai Emery but has found play time hard to come by under new boss Mikel Arteta.

The man opponents love to hate: Matteo Guendouzi is the presence ...

He has just one start in the league under the Spaniard with most of his appearances coming from the bench and the Cup competitions. Prior to the break, Arsenal were unbeaten since the turn of the year but still sit in middle table in ninth place.

The Gunners are however still in the FA Cup where they are in the quarter final stage.
