How Sacked Itumbi Helped Uhuru-Ruto Win 2013 Supreme Court Case

City Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdulahi has revealed how Sacked Statehouse Digital Secretary Dennis Itumbi helped President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto to cement their victory at the Supreme Court in 2013.

This is after the ODM leader Raila Odinga challenged their election.

Sacked Dennis Itumbi with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to Ahmednasir, Itumbi filed a separate case at the Supreme Court which aided in approving President Uhuru’s election.

“Dennis worked very well for the H.E UHURU and Ruto. He was a good and loyal servant. He was our client (petitioner) in the Presidential Petition Number 2 in the Supreme Court in 2013…He won his case…The court agreed with him that Spoilt voters can’t be counted in the tally,” he tweeted.

The City Lawyer added: “For his Loyalty and dedication to JUBILEE over the years…I have decided to follow Dennis on Twitter…so that he keeps us informed and maybe entertained @OleItumbi.”

In the build to 2013 and 2017 General Elections, Itumbi was a fierce defender of President Uhuru and his Deputy Ruto.

His online presence, on Facebook and Twitter, terrorised anyone who dared to unleash any smear campaign against the duo.

Together with his team, they initiated strong hashtags on Twitter; either in defence or support of Uhuru-Ruto candidature.

Nevertheless, despite having formed a formidable team for Uhuru-led government, the curtains finally fell for the veteran Digital blogger on Wednesday after their posts were scrapped off in the Presidential Service Commission rendering them jobless.

Itumbi was sacked alongside James Kinyua, Erick Ng’eno, David Nzioka.

Following their sacking Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkmen tweeted: “You served the State with passion&commitment in the most difficult period;3 elections&ICC. With COVID19 it’s the worst time to lose a job. You are in my prayers. God will provide for u&ur families. It is well!”

However, a section of online user allied to Uhuru and Raila have approved the sacking saying it was long overdue.

City Lawyer Donald Kipkorir tweeted: “Dennis Itumbi, Kenya’s Digital Terrorist fired on his Birthday … Happy Birthday, Itumbi… You engendered Fake News in Kenya. Distorted the Truth. Your flying to the sun has ended! Being an errand boy made you think you are part of the System! Fare Thee Well!”
