Plot Thickens as Pilot in Echesa’s Case Spills the Beans

The case involving former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa has taken an unexpected turn after a pilot revealed crucial details to officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The pilot identified as Subow Mohamed Ahmed was arrested Sunday, March 15 by sleuths from the DCI who subjected him to intense interrogation.

Subow admitted knowing Mr Echesa at a personal level and accompanying him to Poland to test military-grade aircraft.

The pilot has since been released on police bond but is expected to appear in court today Monday, March 16.

In their complaint, the directors of Eco Advanced Technology claimed they were conned by a criminal enterprise masterminded by one Echesa.

The saga took a different turn when a guard assigned to the Office of the Deputy President was killed in mysterious circumstances.

The deceased was seen facilitating the entry of Eches and the two foreigners into the installation before was discovered dead in his house days later.

On the other hand, DCI officers nabbed Echesa’s cars in connection to the scandal worth an estimated Ksh 39 billion.

DP William Ruto has since distanced himself from the fraud, stating that any of his officers found culpable must carry their own cross.
