The Amount Africa’s Richest Man Dangote Will Offer to Buy Arsenal

Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote has been given the full cost of making true his desire of buying Arsenal club.

Dangote had previously declared his intention to buy the north London club. But the Nigerian businessman recently said he is still concentrating on other matters before launching his Arsenal bid- most likely next year.

In January, Dangote said:

“It is a team that yes I would like to buy some day, but what I keep saying is we have $20billion worth of projects and that’s what I really want to concentrate on.

“I’m trying to finish building the company and then after we finish, maybe some time in 2021 we can.

“I’m not buying Arsenal right now, I’m buying Arsenal when I finish all these projects, because I’m trying to take the company to the next level.”

And now Bob Ratcliffe, the brother of one of Britain’s richest men Sir Jim Ratcliffe has told him just how much he will need to offer to own Arsenal.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has for over the years been linked with buying Chelsea but his INEOS company settled for Nice instead.

Bob, head of the football division for Ineos has revealed how much it would cost anyone to own a Premier League club currently.

Bob told the Financial Times’ Business of Football Summit that a takeover of a ‘top six’ club would cost at least £2billion.

Meanwhile, a move for a team elsewhere in the Premier League would cost between £150million and £350million.

He added that: “They’re all for sale.”
