John Baraza Sends Strong Message To Sofapaka Players Amid Poor Run Of Form

Sofapaka FC is not enjoying the best of runs in the League this season. Batoto Ba Mungu has lost the last two matches to Ulinzi Stars and AFCLeopards leaving them 8th on the log with 30 points.

They travel to face Zoo Kericho at the Kericho Green Stadium this Friday looking to put an end to the dismal run. Ahead of the clash, head coach John Baraza has urged his team to step up t the challenge and get a positive result from the match.

“We haven’t had a good run last month losing two matches in a row. It a huge concern to us as a team and as the technical bench. It has to some extent tampered with the players’ confidence and in addition, brought in more pressure on my side as the head coach,” Baraza said.

He also added that he has held talks with his team on the same.

“We talked about it and our focus now is on collecting ourselves and moving forward promptly as possible. We want to get our confidence back and have a proper consistency level,” he added.

Midfielder Ellie Achesea who missed the loss to Ulinzi Stars with a minor injury also echoed his manager’s sentiments, urging his teammates to remain brave and positive.

“I want to urge my fellow teammates to be positive and stronger mentality because such a situation always calls for a strong mentality and a positive attitude. It’s only these two that will help us get back on the right frame and hopefully propel us back to winning ways come Friday,” the midfielder claimed.

The match kicks off at 3 PM.
