Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Boss Shollei on Tuesday made a bold declaration over ODM leader Raila Odinga’s 2022 presidential bid saying he will not win the race.
Speaking to Citizen TV, Shollei said that though Raila had achieved a lot politically adding that his several stabs to win the presidency had proved him a failure.
“He has made his mark in history and nobody can erase that, he is a formidable politician but there is something wrong with his strategy and that is why he has lost several presidential struggles, I’m very sure in 2022, he will not win the election, period!” said Shollei.
The MP, however, admitted that the Former Prime Minister won the 2007 election but credited Deputy President William Ruto and the larger Rift Valley region for the victory.
“In a personal opinion that Raila won the 2007 election and guess who was behind him, Dr William Samoei Ruto and the whole of Rift Valley, and that is how he won…” she claimed.

Besides, the MP a slammed the BBI course labeling it a divisive initiative that won’t achieve anything good for the country.
She went on to say that the course was about creating positions for the political class and not for the common citizen.
“Raila Odinga has said it (BBI) is not about positions, he is lying, it is about positions…” added Shollei.
But even as the Tanga Tanga leaders insist that the BBI course is for the dynasties, Raila on Monday reiterated that the initiative was for posterity.

He insisted that it was not about creating position for politicians and went on to clarify that BBI was not after making President Uhuru Kenyatta a Prime Minister.
Raila, who has contested for the presidency four times, is yet to declare his interest in the 2022 General Elections.
DP Ruto, on the other hand, has already announced that he will be on the ballot come 2022.
