As German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited the country, one tall man stole the show.
The man dwarfed President Kenyatta when he posed for a handshake photograph with him at State House, changing the conversation entirely.
A quick digging of his details reveals the tall man at State House is a retired basketball superstar born and raised in Germany.
Dirk Werner Nowitzki accompanied German President in his Kenyan tour where the two countries discussed bilateral relations and trade.

Interestingly, Nowitzski happens to be married to a woman with Kenyan roots.
His wife Jessica Olsson was born in Sweden to a Kenyan mother and a Swedish father.
“I think we just clicked intellectually,” Nowitzki said. “She likes art, she likes sports. Her brothers both played soccer. She grew up around sports. We both love tennis and we love to travel. We both love kids and family,” Nowitszki narrated on how they met.
She also has twin brothers Marcus and Martin who play professional soccer in the UK.
