Nakuru Senator, Susan Kihika, on Saturday lost her cool, after KTN journalist, Tony Gachoka, engaged her in a heated exchange over the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
Kihika, who is a strong opponent of the BBI process, had taken to Twitter to slam the controversy surrounding the Narok edition of the BBI consultative forums train, terming the sentiments aired by pro-BBI leaders as divisive.
She further expressed concern that the BBI process would lead the country into hostility instead of the promised unity, since recent talk surrounding the initiative had started awakening tribal emotions amongst Kenyans.
”Brothers & Sisters the BBI is a SHAM. It will leave Kenya more divided than ever before. It is quickly gaining momentum in Balkanizing our country and whipping up terrible tribal emotions,” the legislator remarked.
”The BBI is BAD for Kenya! BBI is the greatest political CON JOB of our TIME…” she added.
In response, Gachoka accused Kihika and her Tangatanga counterparts of cowardice, claiming they had not yet declared a solid position on the BBI.
”Senator, you guys are cowards & unprincipled; if you oppose the BBI do so openly & take a position. DP Ruto & your hustler nation let’s test your numbers which can only happen if you take a position,” he remarked.
The openly anti-Ruto journalist’s sentiments rubbed Kihika the wrong way, prompting her to get vulgar in her response.
”TG (Tony Gachoka), calm TF down! Isn’t my post on Twitter proof of opposing it openly?” she posited.
The senator noted that Ruto’s brigade was solid in terms of following, and the 2022 General Election would prove it.
”We shall do so in 2022 & I can bet what the result will be. Prepare your usual chorus, kimeibiwa (the election was rigged),” she concluded.
