You Just Need Good Education! Murkomen Schools Senator Ledama on Land Matters

Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has schooled Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina on matters pertaining issuance of land title deeds in Kenya.

Senator Ledama had tasked Murkomen to ask Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi to issue title deeds to Kenyans of Kikuyu origin living in Eldoret, Langas Ward.

The debate ensued after Ledama appeared in a televised interview on Wednesday night, where he made remarks that were believed to be tribal.

The pro-Raila Odinga lawmaker in an interview with Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange seemed to be defending his Maasai community’s interests more than those of the entire Kenyans.

While defending himself, Ledama argued that Murkomen should compel Oscar Sudi to issue out title deeds to Kikuyus in Eldoret if they were really not tribal.

“@kipmurkomenIf you truly care about Kenyans and you are not tribal as you claim that I am, please ask Oscar Sudi to take you to Eldoret Langas Ward and issue all those Kenyans of Kikuyu origin titles deed. None have one prove me wrong!” tweeted Ledama.

However, Murkomen while responding to Ledama said lawmakers are not responsible for issuing out title deeds.
Murkomen further told the ODM lawmaker that he just needed good education.
“Anyone who has gone to school knows that title deeds are not issued by MPs they are issued by the government which serves all Kenyans equally. I don’t believe your office issues tittle deeds in Narok. That’s why I don’t think anyone should arrest you. You just need good education,” he posted.
