Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju was flown to the United Kingdom for specialized treatment.
This after an order given by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday.
Tuju fell ill after being involved in a road accident on Wednesday while heading to the burial of late president Daniel Moi.
He was admitted at Kijabe Mission hospital but later on transferred to Karen Hospital for special treatment.
The jubilee SG suffered serious chest and abdominal injuries.
At the Karen Hospital, the secretary-general who doubles up as a cabinet secretary had been placed under the Intensive Care Unit of the facility.
Later on, his doctor assured concerned citizens that Tuju was in a stable condition and was responding well to medication.
At the Kijabe mission hospital, Tuju had undergone surgery to control the bleeding in his abdomen.
