A police officer who vanished with a minor on Valentine’s Day was on Sunday evening nabbed by his colleagues defiling her.
The shocking incident took place at Merti in Isiolo County and police believe that the officer identified as Geoffrey Kosgey lured the 17-year-old girl into his house, where she has been staying since February 14, 2020.
The officer resides at the Bulesa Police Post Lines and it is unclear how he managed to hide the girl for the last two days.
A police report seen by Opera News revealed that the parents of the High School student have been trying to trace her in vain.
“Her parents had been searching and traced her at the police lines and made a complaint against the officer,” the report read in part.
The officer and the minor were later taken to Merti Sub-County Hospital to be examined and it emerged that she was also pregnant.
Mr Kosgey is now under police custody as investigations into the matter go on.
This comes just a day after detectives drawn from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations nabbed a man whose video has been making rounds on social media capturing him on the act with a girl believed to be a minor.
Mr Patrick Ayoyi Ajunga was nabbed by the detectives and is scheduled to be arraigned in court today.
Opera News has established that the suspect told the police that he took the video in 2017 when the lady was 20-years-old.
He also confirmed to the police that the lady in question was her cousin, in addition, he said that the video leaked after his phone was stolen by unknown people.
