Just in: DCI Officers Camp at Ruto’s Office Over Fake Arms Saga

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) are currently camping at the Deputy President William Ruto’s office at Harambee House Annex over the ongoing investigations on KSh 39 billion fake arms deal that saw former sports CS Rashid Echesa arrested on Thursday, February 13.

This comes just two days after detectives raided the same building in a bid to obtain crucial leads.

In the raid that was said to have been conducted in utmost secrecy on Friday, detectives checked into the building, which houses Ruto offices, to view the CCTV footage for the period of interest to them.

Besides confirming that the alleged fraud was staged, detectives are also said to be keen to rope in all the ring leaders of the scheme as well as to corroborate the evidence adduced by the victims.

According to a report by Daily Nation, the footage showed that two of the DP’s aides attended the controversial meeting in which the former Sports boss is accused of defrauding Polish arms dealers.
