One resident revealed that a strange moment inspired by a cat made him vote for the deceased.

The man identified as Kinyanjui Kombani narrated how the feline led him to make the important decision.

Kombani explained that the furry animal had been left in his possession by a friend who had stayed over before travelling.

Not knowing how the cat would change his life, the neighbour to Omondi kept the cat locked in the house.

The situation quickly changed and Kombani found himself in a predicament after the animal escaped the house and encountered a pack of dogs.

The small creature in an attempt to escape death found it’s way up a tree and got stuck.

The resident pointed out that things went from bad to worse after the cat refused to leave the tree despite numerous efforts to rescue it.

“We tried climbing the tree but we couldn’t get far because it had thorns all over the branches. We were badly bruised by day 3. We tried stoning the cat out of the tree but instead of jumping it went deeper into the leaves. On the third day, we could hear the meows getting weaker,” remarked

The situation got a little bizarre when the home animal would constantly seek the attention of the family at night.

“It would be silent during the day, then start sad meowing all night. The kids were getting depressed – they had become very attached to it,” explained Kombani.

He further pointed out that the situation of the cat had caused his daughter to stop eating well.

In addition, the man expressed that the cat had become intuitive and would constantly cry during meal times.

“Frustrated, we started looking for ideas on how to let the cat down. By now many the kids were not eating well. My daughter started saying she can’t eat while the cat was up the tree. And the stupid cat would only meow during supper time. Something had to be done!” pronounced Kombani.

Having run out of options, the Kahawa Wendani resident expressed that Omondi stepped in to help as it had become a communal problem.

To Kombani’s surprise, the politician called the aid of a Firetruck from the county department.

“One of the neighbours (it had become an estate problem) casually said he’d call a friend who had connections with the Kiambu council… I didn’t give it much thought. Until a few minutes later all hell broke loose. A large fire brigade truck came with sirens blazing,” explained the resident.

He added that “As you can imagine, behind it were hundreds of people on foot and on Boda Bodas curious to see where the fire was. The firefighters looked up the tree, shot a blast of water and the cat plummeted to earth in less than a second. It turned out later that it was Cyro’s doing.”

Kombani described that a fire broke out in the estate after the cat incident and the firefighters were not pleased when they responded to the situation.

“When later there was a real fire in our estate and Cyro called in the fire brigade, I was outside onlooking and one of the boss riders said that this estate has very stupid people. The other day they called in fire brigade because of a cat!” expounded the grief-stricken Kenyan.

On Wednesday reports emerged that Omondi had died in a hotel room in India.

It was stated that he died of a heart attack a situation the family disregarded.

According to the relatives of the deceased, his death was compounded with mystery as he had never developed any health complications in the past.
