Citizen Tv’s Kambua Reveals Why She Never Celebrates Valentine Day

As much as Valentine’s day is normally hyped and celebrated as a special day, not everyone gets to experience its beauty. Being a day of love, we expect that people get to create the best of memories.

However, some people equally go through experiences that paint a different perception about the day. As a matter of fact, not everyone celebrates Valentine’s day.

Although Kenyan celebrity couples got to share romantic moments with their partners, Citizen Tv host Kambua Manundu has admitted that she rarely celebrates Valentine’s day.

Taking to Twitter, Kambua recalled that she lost her father during Valentine’s day 2014 and she has since found it so difficult to do anything grand on lover’s day.

“2014 Valentine’s day my dad said goodbye to us. He knew he had reached the end of his journey. Every year since I’ve tried to celebrate… I’m not there yet.” she wrote

Kambua has always admitted losing her dad was one of the toughest things she has had to experience in life. In some of her previous posts, Kambua describes her dad as a hero and first love.

Even though she did not share any warm message with her lover on social media, the mother of one has in previous posts celebrated her husband Jackson Mathu. In one of her most recent posts, Kambua thanked him for being patient with her even at the time when they could not get a child.

The message about Valentine reminding her of her father’s death touched the hearts of many Kenyans who sent her messages of comfort.
