Police in Juja on Friday afternoon arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his two sons to death.
According to police reports, the man stabbed the two boys aged 6 and 7 respectively before dumping their bodies into a sewerage trench.
The children are said to have been born by two sisters.
The man is said to have on Monday lured the duo from their grandmother’s home in Riuriro, Murera village, before committing the heinous act.
“In what is seen as a revenge mission the man is said to have lured the two boys from their grandmother’s place, stabbed them and dumped them in a sewage,” Ms Dorothy Migarusha, the Juja Sub County police boss confirmed.
She further disclosed that the mother of the eldest son flew out of the country to Italy two weeks ago, leaving him in the care of the mother and sister.
Ms Migarusha noted plans were underway to have the suspect arraigned in court on Monday after the police are through with their investigations.
“We shall arraign him in court once we are through with the investigations,” she stated, adding that detectives were already pursuing the matter.
Murder cases have been on the increase in Juja Sub County within the last year.
Two months ago, a mutilated body of a man was found at a coffee plantation a week after he was reported missing.
Police say that his killers poured acid on his face and stabbed him in the neck with a postmortem confirming that the assailants broke his skull.
