Drama as Security Officers Attempt to Block Raila’s Brother from Accessing Main Dais (VIDEO)

There were drama and moments of confusions at Kabarak University grounds after security officers tried to block Raila Odinga’s older brother Oburu Odinga from accessing the main dais.

The scuffle started after the former prime minister arrived at the venue accompanied by among other dignitaries, his wife Idah Odinga and Oburu before the plain cloth officers tried to block Oburu from accompanying Raila to the VIP section.

He was, however, allowed to proceed after Raila Odinga seemingly intervened. Raila was among the last dignitaries to arrive at Kabarak.

Oburu had on Monday accompanied Raila Odinga to Parliament Buildings to view the body of the late former president.

On Tuesday, the member for the East Africa legislative assembly, based in Arusha Tanzania was also seen accompanying Raila to Nyayo stadium for Moi’s funeral service.

The incident comes just an hour after embattled Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was also turned away from accessing the main dais.

Sonko who had arrived at Kabarak to pay his last respect for the fallen former head of state was restricted entry into the VIP section and was instead directed to seat at an area far away from the dais.

Sonko was reportedly disrupted by three plain-clothed security officers who asked him to vacate the seat shortly after taking his position.

An embarrassed, Sonko attempted to resist the move but the elite guards could hear none of it as they pulled him out.

The troubled leader finally took another seat far from the VIP section as the funeral ceremony continued.

A few days ago, Sonko was also ejected out of parliament by the military when he tried to Livestream and hold a press as he was viewing Moi’s body.
