Deputy President Dr William Ruto relayed an emotional message to injured Jubilee Secretary-General Raphael Tuju after a freak dawn accident that saw him admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Karen Hospital.
In his message to Tuju, DP Ruto expressed his concerns about the health of the Cabinet Secretary and those of the other casualties involved.

“Our prayers and best wishes to Cabinet Secretary and Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju and all those that were involved in today’s morning accident at Magina in Lari, Kiambu County. We wish you speedy recovery,” tweeted DP Ruto.
Tuju was airlifted from Kijabe Mission Hospital after undergoing an operation.
The CS’s bodyguard and driver both sustained fractures in the hand and leg following the accident that happened along the Nairobi-Naivasha highway.

The driver of the matatu that crashed into Tuju’s car head-on was admitted to the ICU in Kijabe Hospital after he became unconscious from the impact of the accident.
In January, DP Ruto criticised Tuju over what he termed as “being the Chief strategist of the Opposition.”
Asked for a response, Tuju played cool about the remarks, stating that he would never engage DP Ruto in the media as he remains his boss.
Our prayers and best wishes to Cabinet Secretary and Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju and all those that were involved in today’s morning accident at Magina in Lari, Kiambu County. We wish you speedy recovery.
