Manchester United has been handed a massive boost in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho after the German club opened talks with Belgian side, Club Brugge for Emmanuel Dennis’s services.
United have been trailing the England international as coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to rebuild the playing unit with the aim of making the club a force once again.
The Red Devils were linked with a January move for the former Manchester City man but a move failed to materialize as Dortmund insisted that the player was not for sale at whatever price during the mid-season transfer window.
It now appears that the club is slowly coming to terms with the possibility of the youngster exiting in the summer and have begun preparing for life without the winger. According to reports in Germany, Dortmund is plotting a move for Dennis of Club Brugge.
The 22-year old Nigerian international has scored five goals in 20 appearances for Dortmund this campaign and has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe including Sheffield Wednesday, Brighton, Monaco, Watford, and Newcastle United.
It is understood that the speedy forward prefers a move to either Dortmund or Monaco as he believes that he will develop further at the two clubs who have a history of giving youngsters a chance.
Apart from United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are also interested in Sancho. It is however not clear whether the player is interested in a move back in England and which is his preferred destination should he decide to leave Signal Iduna Park.
