Peter Kamau known for his role as ‘Biko’ in Kenya’s first telenovela Selina has a new job.
Peter will be one of the judges and mentors on Star Times’ new local reality show, Next Superstar. The show is a collaboration between Star Times Kenya, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Radio and Television and Kenyan actors.
He will work alongside industry veteran Raymond Ofula and Neomi Ngang’a and they will launch aspiring or established actors into the international scene with a movie.
“The shortlisted superstars will be the main cast of the joint production between Star Times and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television as other outstanding talents who auditioned for the show undertake supporting roles with the series running weekly on StarTimes Sino-Drama channel,” said Star Times CEO, Andy Wang.
Speaking about the Next Superstar Show, the Director of Culture, Ministry of Sports Culture and Heritage Dr Kiprop Lagat said, “It is encouraging to see the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television explore collaboration opportunities with local broadcast content developers key in availing opportunities for the local talent to equally share experiences with the people of China through film.”
