Police Reveal Faces of Laikipia Most Wanted Criminals – Photos

Detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Monday revealed faces of most wanted criminals who have been operating in Laikipia County.

The two; Harrison Kihara Njiraini and David Kireithi Mwangi were arrested in Kasuku area, Nyandarua and investigations placed them at the center of serious criminal incidents.

In a statement the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that the duo was part of a larger gang that in November 11, 2019 stole a ceska pistol from an Administrative Police officer.

“The two together with others who are still on the run had been involved in several robberies, with violence incidents which include; Violently robbing an AP officer off his Ceska Pistol on 23/11/2019,” the DCI said in a statement.

Mr David Mwangi and Mr Harrison Kihara who were on Monday nabbed by police.

In addition, the duo was part of a gang that robbed off a man of his Sh3,000 and as they were fleeing from the scene they dropped a ceska pistol magazine that had ten rounds of ammunition.

Other incidents according to the police that took place in December 2019, is when they stormed a bar in Nyahururu where they stole a ceska pistol.

They are also believed to be behind a series of highway robberies along the Olkalou- Nyahururu where they were targeting vehicles.

The duo was nabbed by the police and later directed them to where they have been hiding a ceska pistol.

“Efforts are underway to track down their accomplices who are still at large,” the DCI said.

In the past police officers have raised concern that deadly city gangs that were operating in Nairobi had moved to neighboring counties with Laikipia being flagged as one of them.
