The untimely death of Gospel star Papa Dennis and the mysterious circumstances it happened have many Kenyans questioning whether it was murder or suicide.
The celebrated award-winning gospel artiste was found dead in Pangani on Friday night near Jubilee Party HQ. Witnesses say that Papa was in a studio session at Nairobi Records, owned by legendary producer Mash Mjukuu, when he stormed out of the room and fell from the 7th floor of the Ngara building and died immediately.
Speaking to Word Is from the scene, Daddy Owen said he was tagged on Twitter about Papa Dennis passing on and immediately rushed at the scene.
“It seems like someone threw him over a building or maybe he committed suicide. There is a studio nearby Nairobi Records but we are not certain what happened,” Owen said.
A video has emerged from an interview he had late last year where he explained that he was looking to relocate to Dallas America.
“Sahi nafikiria kuenda kuishi Dallas. Naenda kuwa citizen wa huko hivi karibuni,” he said.
He didn’t specify when he would travel but he said what drew him to the country is how people work hard.
When asked why, he said he wanted a change of environment.
His untimely death just months after that revelation has raised a lot of eyebrows as to what he could have been running from when he wanted to go to Dallas.
