Drama was on Tuesday night witnessed at the home of Cherangani MP Joshua Kutuny when a woman demanding for child support stormed the premises.
A police report filed under OB number 02/5/2/2020, exclusively seen by Opera News revealed that Ms Joyline Chemutai had gone to the Karen Home and she was demanding for child upkeep when the MP allegedly pulled a gun on her.
The report revealed that two police officers identified as Emmanuel Maiyo and Mercy Ngeno who were on patrol heard a commotion in the home and rushed there.
“The officers were on patrol within Mlima area when an alarm was raised at Hon Joshua Kutuny’s residence at Hardy area about 4KM west of the station. They rushed to the scene and inside they heard a lady shouting that they want to kill me,” the report read in part.
In the process, Mr Maiyo, one of the officers, was forced to fire one round of ammunition to calm the situation with his CZ rifle of serial number C276787.
An officer who spoke to Opera News in confidence said that the matter was already under investigations and the lady had recorded a statement over the incident.
“The lady recorded a statement with us and we have already started the investigations on what really transpired,” the officer said.
The incident comes just weeks after Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino also drew his gun and allegedly shot Mr Felix Orinda, alias Dj Evolve, a DJ at B Club in Kilimani area, Nairobi County.
Last year, Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa was nabbed by police at her home in Kakuyuni, Kilifi County after she was involved in a gun drama that left one dead.
In the incident, an aide to Ms Jumwa who had accompanied the lawmaker to the home of Mr Ruben Katana an ODM candidate who was eyeing the Ganda Ward representative seat to question why they were holding a political meeting yet the campaign meeting was already over.
In the process, the supporters became rowdy which saw her aide shoot in the air killing one of the supporters on the spot.
