Traffic on the bustling Lower Kabete Road was on Wednesday disrupted, after University of Nairobi student staged riots at the institution’s Lower Kabete campus.
Videos and images shared on social media show bonfires lit along the road that links Westlands and Wangige, with motorists being forced to find alternative routes to avoid the irate students.

According to a section of UoN fraternity, the Wednesday protests were sparked by the sluggish academic situation at the campus which houses the Faculty of Business, with claims that lecturers were on a three-week go slow due to delayed salary payments.
