Moses Kuria Tears Into Raila Junior Over BBI Stand

Raila Odinga Junior on Tuesday went head-on with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria after the former questioned the legislator on his stand on the BBI course.

Taking to Twitter to question the MP, who appeared on NTV’s sidebar show, on which way he was going with the BBI report, the scion told off the MP saying he had to consider either a particular path of channelling opinions on the BBI or go otherwise.

“Ken Mijungu should ask Moses Kuria to be clear, which BBI is he discussing? , his Naivasha BBI or the Real BBI, it is either you are presenting your views to the BBI because it is an open process or you are just running a parallel BBI,” tweeted Raila Junior.

In response, Gatundu MP, who seemingly did not take the question easy, told off Raila Junior to the extent of getting his father, ODM leader Raila Odinga, into the debate.

“He asked me that question yesterday and I told him where your father took the report from Mombasa is where we will take ours.

“His father took a report in Mombasa, where is he taking the report for him to ask me where I am taking mine? The same place his father is taking his… Who is he to ask me such a question!” Said Kuria.

The response did not go well with fellow panellists ODM Chairman John Mbandi and Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo who slammed the MP for taking it personally.

“Moses Kuria that is where you are getting it wrong. Stop taking it personally. Raila Odinga Junior is a Kenyan he has his right and can contribute to this discussion and ask questions,” said Mbadi.

The war of words between the two comes at a time when Kuria and leaders allied to Tanga Tanga political faction have declared that they will be organizing a parallel rally to that led by the ODM leader and his allies.

The leaders announced that they will have their first rally in Nakuru on February 8th at a time when the ODM party and his allies will be holding a seemingly similar rally in Kitui on the same day.

The leaders’ decision came as a shocker since they had announced that they will be a party to each meeting organized by their competitors in their bid to enhance inclusivity and also to express their support for the process.

Raila’s allies in Tuesday slammed the Tanga Tanga leaders for their declaration accusing them of sabotaging the BBi process from the onset.

The ODM party and its allies added that the Naivasha meeting aimed at subduing the president in order to force him to declare support for Deputy President William Ruto.
